Selena Gomez’s romance with The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart may have quietly wrapped, but a new love story with musician Zayn Malik may be brewing. An eyewitness told that Malik and Gomez were seen on a dinner date in New York City on Thursday night.

“Selena and Zayn went out in SoHo in New York City last night at around 10:30 P.M.,” the source stated. “They walked in holding hands and were kissing. Most restaurant staff and restaurant goers didn’t notice them. It seemed like they were comfortable together and it was clear that it was a date.”

Rumors first sparked when TikTok user @klarissa.mpeg shared a viral video where she shared text screenshots from her hostess friend. The friend claimed that she saw Malik and Gomez at their dinner, making out and holding hands.

Neither Gomez, Malik, nor their reps have commented on the rumors. Malik, of course, dated Gigi Hadid on and off for years and shares a daughter with her, two-year-old Khai. Hadid and Malik split up for good in October 2021.

Gomez made it clear she was single on TikTok last week, posting herself lip-syncing to audio about how her dream guy didn’t exist. She mouthed along to: “I hate it when girls are like, ‘Oh my gosh, my crush doesn’t even know that I exist.’ Girl, my crush doesn’t even exist!”

In her caption, she wrote, “Still out here lookin for him lol.”
