After the continuous winning streaks at Golden Globe Awards in January, RRR’s hit track Naatu-Naatu received the golden trophy for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards, on Monday. The whole team of the movie just beamed with joy as soon as the announcement was made.

Director SS Rajamouli’s reaction is just priceless. He literally jumped from his seat as the award announced the name Naatu-Naatu.

Even the creators of the song, MM Keeravani  and team, their speech was the adorable thing as they dedicatedly said, “I grew up listening to the Carpenters and now here I am with the Oscars.”

MM Keeravani sang the melody of the 70s pop hit Top Of The World with his own version of the lyrics: “There was only one wish on my mind… RRR has to win, pride of every Indian and must put me on the top of the world.” In addition he said, “We are happy to present our culture through the movie and the song.”

It was not just the RRR team who were thrilled with the win and jumped in excitement. The pop sensation artist Lady Gaga stood up, clapping and cheering loudly and this reaction of her’s has left the internet going awwwww!!!

Gaga’s own song Hold Hand from the movie Top Gun: Maverick was also nominated in the same category. And not just the singer but the whole auditorium gave standing ovation.
