Once more, Kangana Ranaut used social media to denounce a sector of Bollywood that she believes is out to get her. This time, the performer claimed she forged her own way in the profession without any outside assistance, promoting the notion of self-respect, and claimed the Hindi film industry rejected her because she defied their orders.
She wrote in one of her tweets, "Bhikhari film mafia ne mere attitude to mera arrogance kaha, kyunki main dusari ladkiyon ki tarah giggle karna, item number karna, shaadiyon pe nachna, raat ko bulaaye jaane pe heros ke kamron mein jana yeh sab Considering that I didn't want to go to any heroes' rooms at all just because they asked me to.
In a subsequent tweet, she reiterated her claim that she is a person of integrity, asking, "Is this attitude or integrity? Maine abhi apna sab girvi rakh ke ek film banayi hai, rakshashon ka safaya hoga heads will roll, no one should blame me. ("They want me to bend down to their methods, but they don't realise that I don't want this fame bit.") Khud ko sudharne ki jageh woh mujhe sudharna In order to make the one movie I wanted to do, I worked really hard and mortgaged everything.
While some commenters defended Kangana, others criticised some of her prior decisions, including the period when it was rumoured that she was dating former actor Aditya Pancholi.
On the professional front, Kangana just finished filming Emergency, the political drama she directed and starred in as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
