There are specific guidelines and etiquette to follow when dining at a fine dining establishment. Customers are expected to dress well, behave politely at the table, and pay the bill with cash or a credit card. Yet a Mumbai-based video creator went against the grain and chose to pay his bill at a fine dining establishment with coins. The developer, who went by the name Siddhesh Lokare, posted a video of his encounter to Instagram, and it quickly became popular.
"Transaction matters, friend, whether you do it with a dollar or with change," he commented while sharing the video. As soon as the movie starts, text insertions with the caption "Out of the blue, thinking of paying at the Taj Hotel with chillars" are seen.
When the video begins, Mr. Lokare is heard saying that he made the decision to get dressed up and go to the restaurant at Taj Mahal Palace. He requests a mocktail and a pizza for his lunch before requesting the bill. To the amazement of the other diners, the waiter begins counting the money as soon as he pulls out a bag from his pocket with the bill. He adds that he could hear the sounds made by the personnel as they counted the monies.
By saying, "So, the moral of the experiment is that we are so preoccupied donning layers based on the etiquette we are around with that we forget to embrace the rawness of being local at heart," he offers a life lesson to his fans at the conclusion of the film. Own yourself in your heart for who you are, not for what other people or circumstances want you to be.
The experiment may have pleased some people, but the stunt may not have persuaded others, and they may have criticised him for upsetting the workers.
The experiment's lesson was expressed by one user who stated, "You're attempting to let your environment effect your behaviour, but in the end it doesn't even matter! " Want the same amount of self-assurance in life, remarked another. A third responded, "Accept yourself as you are, and stop trying to be like other people. Create your own route and trend for others to follow. As though someone just carried out his original ideas. Awesome spirit, Sid. Accept yourself.
A fourth said, "I hope you apologised for it, how annoying it must be for the employees to abandon everything else and count coins. Another person said, "Owning oneself doesn't imply causing trouble for others, LOL."
