Funeral for Taraka Ratna: RRR star Jr. NTR was spotted heading to Taraka Ratna's burial and last rituals. The actor and his wife, Lakshmi Pranathi, were seen together. Kalyanram was also present at the location. A witness saw the actor make his approach to the mortal remains and pay his respects. According to reports, the funeral would take place in the evening.

After Taraka's unexpected demise on Sunday, Jr. NTR was also present with the family and was very upset. In Taraka's home in Hyderabad, he was spotted sobbing in the company of other people there and family members. On Saturday night, many weeks after having a heart attack, Taraka died away. After suffering an attack during a political rally, Taraka Ratna was taken to a hospital in Bengaluru. Soon after the event, Jr. NTR paid him a visit in the hospital.
Taraka Ratna was the grandson of late N T Rama Rao, a renowned actor and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, and the son of Nandamuri Mohan Krishna. He passed out last month while taking part in the Kuppam launch of TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh's statewide "padayatra." Since being brought to the hospital, he was said to be in a critical condition. On February 18, he passed away.
