Popular actor Shahnawaz Pradhan, who has worked across projects in Bollywood, TV and OTT platforms, passed away at the age of 56 after suffering a heart arrest.
He had complained of severe pain in his chest and fell unconscious during a function. He was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital but the doctors could not revive him.
TV actress Surbhi Tiwari, who was coincidentally present at the hospital for her brother's treatment, saw Shahnawaz being brought on a stretcher. She told Navbharat Times that the actor was immediately taken inside, next to her brother's bed. She overheard the doctors saying that they are unable to find Shahnawaz's pulse and his heart was not working at all. The people, who brought him to the hospital, told the doctors that they were in a function where he suffered the heart attack and collapsed.
Later, when Surbhi asked them how did this happen and if he had any medical history, they told her that he had a bypass surgery a few months ago. The actress said that Shahnawaz was a very good person and used to keep messaging.
Rajesh Tailang, who has worked with Shahnawaz in Mirzapur, mourned his loss with an emotional note on Instagram which reads, "Shahnawaz bhai aakhiri salaam !!! Kya gazab ke zaheen insaan aur kitne behatar adaakar the aap. Mirzapur ke dauran kitna sundar waqt guzara aapke saath, Yaqeen nahin ho raha."
It is being said that the last rites of Shahnawaz Pradhan will be held on February 18.
