The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Atakepar Smarak Samiti and the Amhi Punekar NGO intend to erect a statue of the revered leader close to the Line of Control (LOC) between India and Pakistan. The campaign aims to encourage and motivate soldiers engaged in border zone combat. Two locations—one in Kashmir and one in Kupwara, Kashmir—will have the statue placed.
By the end of March 2023, the Bhoomi-Pujan ceremony will be finished. It entails collecting dirt from the forts of Raigad, Torana, Shivneri, Rajgad, and Pratapgarh. Netizens' reactions to this decision have been conflicted, but it is anticipated that the statue, which represents Hindu pride and grandeur, would significantly improve Kashmir.
It also serves as a reminder of Kashmir's past acts of valour and carnage, including those committed by its king Lalaitaditya Muktapida in the eighth century. It will continue to inspire the warriors with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's ideals and moral principles.
