Located on equator, India is blessed with warmth and sun shining above its head and experience all seasons equally. The time pattern here follows a disciplined cycle.

But maybe not all countries are blessed like India. Believe it or not but there are some places where sun doesn't sets and experience the sunlight more than a day or a week or a month or maybe even more than that.

Know which are those cities, where it happens!!

ICELAND

During summers, nights remain clear in Iceland. Here, the sun never sets during the month of June.

QAANAAQ, GREENLAND

Qaanaaq remains affected by the midnight sun. Here people use black curtains to get the necessary sleep during the two and a half month period of the midnight sun.

SVALBARD, NORWAY

Svalbard is a land of polar bears. Here the sun doesn't set for four months between mid April and mid July.

FINLAND

Believe it or not but most parts of the Finland get to see the sun straight for just 73 days during summers. Whereas, the region sees no sunlight during the winter time.

HAMMERFEST, NORWAY

Hammerfest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The sun sets in this city at 12:43 a.m., only to rise again at an interval of just 40 minutes.

NUNAVUT, CANADA

You won't believe that this place sees sunlight for around two months, 24X7! During winters, Nunavut actually sees 30 consecutive days of total darkness.

KIRUNA, SWEDEN

Kiruna in Sweden sees the sun not setting for 100 days straight from May to August.

BARROW, ALASKA

The sun here does not set from late May to late July. However, that is later compensated from the beginning of November. Here, remains darkness during the months of winter.

SAINT PETERSBURG, RUSSIA

In the northern most city of the world, where the sun doesn't not pass below the horizon, for a month and a half, enough to darken the sky.
