Decoding B-Town’s newly wed couple SidKiara’s reception outfit but Why netizens are boiling red over it?

The Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan served as the perfect wedding destination for Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s fairytale wedding, and the majestic celebrations now have made their way straight to the fashion capital of India. As regal as the wedding, the couple’s reception held at the St. Regis Hotel, was another testament to theme.

Love for Emeralds

Advani clearly has a love for emeralds the size of thumbs. With a classic black and white monochrome outfit, she went all out with a stunning emerald necklace from Manish Malhotra that had rows of tear-drop cut emeralds separated by diamonds across her neck.

Taking a shift from a traditional sari, the newly-minted bride opted for the allure of a dramatic train. Glistening through layers of black velvet, she picked a mermaid-cut dress from the house of Manish Malhotra.

The royal look is in, and with it, all its accessories; however, instead of going for a polki necklace, like most celebrities, Advani has been seen gravitating towards emeralds and diamonds.

Agian opts for Bun and Dewy makeup

Advani’s look was a dainty little surprise. She chose to dial down the bling, opting for an understated gown that featured a satin white bodice with a black skirt, followed by a long train of voluminous velvet.

She chose emeralds once more for her jewellery. Making a bold statement, she matched her diamond-emerald necklace with a pear-shaped ring on one hand and her solitaire engagement ring on the other. Her hair was neatly tied in a sleek low bun, and the makeup was soft and dewy.

But netizens seems to be going red over it!! As her off look is not matching with the typical Indian wedding reception theme. Some even commented, “Dulha Dulhan ko chod ke baaki sab acche lag rhe hai“, which translates to that except the bride and groom everyone is looking good.

And it doesn’t stop here, netizens have took it to social media and are splurging over it. Below are some comments which prove this:-

“No mangalsutra and no sindoor. Again Black. Our culture is full of colours. Why brides can’t wear dark beautiful colours.”

“She needs to hire some other designer. Bad choice of clothes”.

“Yar aise lag rha hai koyi award show ho wedding reception nhi.”

“Again Bad Choice 😮… Is this Oscars 😂 or Reception 😂😮 … Bollywood please have some sense to wear what & when”

“Yaar kiara this is soo disappointing.”

“Award show type dress ..could have chosen much better Kiara.”

“Very poor choice of outfit by Kiara…”

“Kash sindoor lagati to aur v pretty lagti”

“Naaaa shadi ki tih yr sindoor red bangles kuch toh pahnno ky pure western countries ko follow kr rahe ho…. Anushka Sharma jesa look kisi ne nhi liya aj tak.”

“bhar he chllo Jyoo india ma kyha kr rha ho black or white dress kon Daltha haa reception ma kuch be”.

“Hollywood accepts there traditions even Tollywood too.. but bollywood never accepts traditions what a shame. They wear black right after marriage.”

“you only get ONE chance in life to dress like bride and groom. sad they missed it. I thought they attended some award function untill I read the caption.”

“What do they wear even after being so rich, it’s a reception, she could have worn even in this event.”

However, there were very few people who came out in support of her.

“comments 🤮 it’s her choice and her reception. let her enjoy her night if u don’t like don’t watch na.”

“What is the question of wearing a dress you’re not comfortable in? It’s the biggest day of life wear something you can fully enjoy in.”

“Can people just for once let others celebrate and be happy without talking shit? It’s their reception and it’s upto them how they wanna dress up. Why all the negativity? Come on!”
