When first lady Jill Biden revealed that Bonnie Raitt had won the Grammy for Song of the Year on Sunday night, the singer looked shocked.

For her song "Just Like That," Raitt, who received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 event, triumphed against a number of well-known artists, including Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Beyoncé, and Adele.

After winning, Raitt surprised herself by looking around at her table and remarked in her acceptance speech for the Grammy that honours the songwriter that she was "absolutely humbled."

"I'm so shocked that I'm at a loss for words. The singer-songwriter John Prine, who passed away in 2020, was the inspiration for Raitt's song, she said, adding, "This is simply an amazing time."
