Shah Rukh Khan's grand comeback film continues to exceed expectations as it becomes the first Bollywood film in history to gross more than Rs 100 crore on day one.
Shah Rukh Khan has finally made his comeback after 5-years with Pathaan, and the film has been riding high on the buzz owing to its high-octane action sequences and hit numbers. The film emerged as the highly anticipated spy-thriller featuring SRK in the titular role and the wait is finally over!
Pathaan has finally hit the theatres and movie buffs across the nation have flocked to the big screens to witness director Siddharth Anand’s cinematic vision. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana, and it is also known to be a part of YRF’s spy universe.
the film has already crossed that milestone worldwide. Pathaan made an estimated $4.5 million (Rs 36 crore) from overseas markets on day one, which means that its global gross now stands at over Rs 102 crore. Box Office India estimates the global tally to fall between Rs 100 crore and Rs 110 crore. In either scenario, Pathaan is now the first-ever Hindi movie to cross more than Rs 100 crore globally on its first day of release.
