"Doing this film was just as magical for me", says Jacqueline Fernandez as 'Applause' from 'Tell it Like a Woman' bags an Oscar nomination

The Oscar fever is on, and India now has not one but two reasons to celebrate! While the Indian blockbuster RRR finds itself competing in the "Best Original Song’ category, actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s Hollywood film "Tell it Like a Woman" too has been nominated in the same category.

The song, titled 'Applause,' was written by singer Diane Warren, who has received 13 Oscar nominations, and it spreads a message of strength and empowerment.

Apart from RRR’s " target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Naatu Naatu and Tell it Like a Woman’s Applause, the other songs that have been nominated include This Is A Life (EEAAO), Hold My Hand (Top Gun: Maverick), and Lift Me Up (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever).

Excited with the Oscar nomination, Jacqueline said, "I am so proud of the entire team of Tell It Like A Woman and especially Dianne and Sofia, who created such magical music with Applause." The whole experience of doing this film was just as magical for me. "Being associated with this Oscar nomination is just so special that I can't express how grateful I am, and I wish the best to the entire team for the Academy Awards!"

Tell it Like a Woman is an anthology of films made by eight female directors from around the world. Margherita Buy, Eva Longoria, Cara Delevingne, Anne Watanabe, Jennifer Hudson, Marcia Gay Harden, and Jacqueline Fernandez are just a few of the ensemble cast members in the film.
