CAT 2022 Exam In a Week: Check Placement Record and Statistics of Top IIMs

CAT (Common Admission Test) is considered one of the toughest national-level management entrance tests conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for admission into 20 IIMs and over 1,200 B-schools across India. Every CAT aspirant dreams of getting admission into any of the top IIMs- IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Indore. A minimum 98 percentile is required for admission into these institutes. CAT 2022 is scheduled to be held on November 27, 2022, with approximately 2.56 lakh candidates registered to appear for the entrance this year.

CAT 2022: IIM Ahmedabad Placements

IIM Ahmedabad has recently completed cluster 3 summer placements for the 2022-24 batch with TCS being the top recruiter with 11 offers. Companies from Information Technology, IT product management, BFSI, Consumer Technology, EdTech, IT Consulting & Analytics domains were the top recruiters. As per placement records of IIM Ahmedabad, the average salary package ranges above INR 25 LPA while the highest packages are in the range of 75 lakhs to 1.5 crore.

CAT 2022: IIM Bangalore Placements

IIM Bangalore is the conducting authority for CAT 2022 exam. Recently, IIM Bangalore has released the placement report for the PGP batch of 2022. Students received 662 offers from 137 top recruiters. The Average Salary stood atINR 33.82 LPA whereas the Median Salary offered was INR 31.2 LPA. Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Microsoft were among the top recruiters.

CAT 2022: IIM Calcutta Placements

When it comes to IIM Calcutta, this institute witnessed 100 percent placements for its 57th batch this year. Over 190 companies gave 631 offers to students of this institute. The highest offering is INR 34.2 lakhs per annum while the median salary offered is INR 31 lakhs per annum. Top recruiters are from the domain of Analytics & Consulting including Bain and Company, Boston Consulting Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers. Recruiters from other domains include Sales and Marketing, Finance, Product Management & IT Analytics, General Management and Operations etc.

CAT 2022: IIM Kozhikode Placements

IIM Kozhikode is one of the top IIMs in the country offering some of the highest packages from top recruiters like Amazon, American Express, Accenture Strategy, Asian Paints, Bain & Co., Bajaj Auto, Boston Consulting Group, Capgemini, Cognizant, etc. Recently, IIM Kozhikode has completed the 2022 placement drive for the 24th batch of PGP. 116 recruiters made 571 offers this year. Highest CTC and Average CTC witnessed an increase of 31.3% at INR 61.5 LPA and INR 29.5 LPA respectively.

CAT 2022: IIM Lucknow Placements

IIM Lucknow has been consistently maintaining its position among the top IIMs as per NIRF ranking for its quality-learning environment and excellent placement record. In the year 2022, IIM Lucknow witnessed a 100% placement record with 534 offers provided by reputed companies namely Adobe, Flipkart, Myntra etc. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 58 lakhs while the institute experienced a 19.3% rise in the average CTC as compared to previous year. Further, the placement process of this institute witnessed 64.9% male and 35.10% female candidates.

CAT 2022: IIM Indore Placements

IIM Indore falls in the league of top IIMs with 100% placement to its recent PGP batch. The average CTC of INR 25.01 lakhs was 6% higher than the previous year. The average CTC of top 100 students was INR 37.95 with the highest domestic salary offered for the year 2022 was INR 49.00 LPA. The top recruiters at IIM Indore are from the finance and consulting sector such as American Express, Cipla, and Google.

CAT 2022: IIM Visakhapatnam Placements

IIM Visakhapatnam though has started its journey only a few years back, it has established itself as a strong contender in the league of top IIMs. IIM Visakhapatnam witnessed 100% placement this year with average CTC at INR 15.06 lakhs and the highest CTC at INR 31.60 lakhs (51.7% higher than last year). The IIM sees offers from some of the top recruiters including Amazon, Cognizant, BYJUs, Deloitte, etc.

CAT 2022: IIM Bodh Gaya Placements

IIM Bodh Gaya which started its journey a few years back is also gaining momentum and striving to be among top rated IIMs. Like other IIMs, this institute also witnessed 100% placement as per the 2022 report. More than 100 companies offered jobs to 184 students of this institute with the highest CTC offered to PGP candidates beingINR 30.5 lakhs while the average CTC being INR 12.36 lakhs. Some of the top recruiters at IIM Bodh Gaya are Morgan Stanley, HSBC, SBI Life Insurance, etc.

CAT 2022: IIM Ranchi Placements

IIM Ranchi also deserves mention in the list of IIMs which have shown pretty good performance based on the job offers. For the batch 2022, IT & Analytics and Banking & Finance sectors offered more jobs compared to other domains followed by Consulting and BFSI. 250+ companies visited the campus to recruit candidates for the job roles of asset management, wealth management, etc. The highest CTC stood at INR 32.21 LPA. The top recruiters at IIM Ranch this year included Deloitte, Aditya Birla Group, Infosys, EY, IBM.

CAT 2022: IIM Sambalpur and IIM Kashipur Placements

Some other IIMs, which are gradually gaining prominence, are IIM Sambalpur and IIM Kashipur. Both these institutes witnessed good placement records with candidates having 2-3 years of experience given preference over freshers. In the year 2022, IIM kashipur received 365 job offers from more than 150 companies while IIM Sambalpur received job offers from more than 100 companies. Average CTC offered at IIM Kashipur was INR 15.21 LPA while that in Sambalpur was INR 12.64 LPA. Some of the top recruiters in both the institutes are Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Vedanta etc.
