Immensely talented actor Akshay Kharodia has bagged a plum project. The actor, who presently appears in Star Plus’ popular show Pandya Store, is set to return to films with a powerful role in senior producer Shabbir Boxwala’s next production venture, titled Notary.
Well-known filmmaker Pawan Wadeyar, who has previously delivered a string of blockbusters in Kannada including Googly (2013) with KGF star Yash, is on board to direct the forthcoming film, which is dubbed as a quirky and satirical drama.
The team kick-started the first shooting schedule of the upcoming film on Thursday in Bhopal. After wrapping up the ongoing schedule in the city of lakes, the team will head back to Mumbai where a brief schedule has been planned. The makers have planned to wrap up the entire film in two back-to-back schedules in Bhopal and Mumbai and then begin work on the post-production.
Though Akshay’s character details have been kept under wraps, the actor plays Sameer in the film. He has been paired opposite Dharshna Banik, who is well-known for her work in the Bengali and Telugu film industries.
In addition to Akshay Kharodia and Dharshna Banik, Notary also features Parambrata Chatterjee, Geeta Basra, Dalip Tahil, Manoj Joshi, Priya Banerjee, Shishir Sharma, Surendra Rajan, Zarina Wahab, and Mohan Agashe on the ensemble cast.
Written by Tasha Bhambra, Sparsh Khetarpal, and Wadeyar, Notary is bankrolled under the banners of Boundless Media, Kaash Entertainment, and Wadeeyar Movies.
The film is set to find its way into cinemas in 2023.
