As a precautionary measure, the actor also got his land cruiser car upgraded making it bulletproof and armored. The police from their end has conducted the investigations and have registered the statements. According to the information revealed by Maharashtra Home Department, the motive behind the Bishnoi gang threatening actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan was to showcase their power and create a tense atmosphere.

However, this is not the first time that the actor has received such threats from the same gangster. In 2018 Salman Khan was threatened over blackbuck poaching because it was considered sacred in his community.

The actor started receiving threats again in 2022 after the brutal death of singer turned politician Sidhu Moose Wala. The threat letter that the actor received in Hindi read that both Salman and Salim Khan would face the same fate as singer Siddhu Moosewala ('Tera Moosawala bana denge'), said the police sources on condition of anonymity.
