D-Day was directed, scripted and story told by Nikhil Advani (who made Kal Ho Na Ho and Salaam E Ishq). D-Day tells the story of team of cops who plans to brings the India’s Most Wanted Man behind the bar until something goes horribly wrong. The direction was impressive handling many sequences with perfection. Dialogues were punching. Coming to the performance, both Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor gave a solid performance with aplomb. Arjun Rampal was equally effective.
Also starring Arjun Rampal, Shruti Hassan and Huma Qureshi in key roles, D-Day was released on 19th July, 2013 at 1250 screens to Rs 2.80 crore. The film went onto collect Rs 22 crore in its first week. D-Day ended its theatrical run with Rs 23.75 against a budget of Rs 26.75 and was declared “Flop” at the box office.
