Money Heist Korea Gets Mixed Reactions, From BTS References To Arturo! Take A Look:

The much-awaited Korean version of Money Heist got released on OTT giant Netflix on Thursday and it has received a mixed reaction from the fans. Many were of the opinion that there is no uniqueness in the Korean adaptation while others enjoyed the characters. However, BTS fans were happy to know that the reference to BTS was taken in the series.

The character of Tokyo essayed by Jeon Jong-seo is seen referring to the BTS song 'DNA' and proclaiming herself an ARMY. Later, she is seen dancing on the track in North Korea and can be heard saying, “Fans of K-pop group BTS, are called ARMY. They have members all over the world. Of course, there are ARMYs in North Korea too. Since I was a kid, I’ve secretly watched K-Dramas and I have always listened to K-pop."

Many viewers appreciated the storyline of The Unified Korea Mint which added an extra element to the Korean adaptation. The masks were also changed in this series with Korean traditional Hahoetal masks. There was also a popular opinion on social media that liked the fictional storyline of South Korea and North Korea coming together where the war is ended and there is a common currency for the united nation.

The Korean actors seen in the series are as follows, Actor Jeon Jong-seo who plays Tokyo, Park Hae Soo plays Berlin, Lee Kim Ji-hoon (Denver), Jang Yoon-Ju (Nairobi), Lee Hyun-woo (Rio), Won-jong (Moscow), Kim Ji-hun (Helsinki) and Lee Kyu-ho (Oslo) and lastly the role of the professor is essayed by Yo Ji-Tae.
