Dangal:
Dangal is a real-life story about a father who is a wrestler Mahavir Singh Phoghat who fought against all odds and even the societal pressure to make his daughters become wrestlers and win the medals for the nation, to contribute to the nation. It was his efforts, hard work, and willingness that India got such talented wrestlers!

Mohabbatein:
Narayan Shankar is a strict principle of Gurukul an educational institution that does not believe in the concept of love and restricts his students from doing the same. However, He is also a father to a daughter who falls in love with one of the students from his gurukul. He is a strict and over-possessive father who lost his daughter out of his reluctance to accept love.

Sanju:
Sanju- The biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt whose life story is full of controversies taking from being alleged of TADA to a drug addict. But one person who always stood by him was his father Sunil Dutt beautifully played by Paresh Rawal in the film. He is the father who did not abandon his son in the difficult times but also is supportive and makes him come out of all the difficult situations.

Even though DDLJ is a love story of Raj and Simran that is SRK and Kajol there are two important characters in the film played by Amrish Puri and Anupam Kher fathers of Simran and Raj respectively. Both of them played a very important role while Anupam Kher motivates his son Raj to find his love, Amrish Puri is a strict dad to a daughter who eventually bows down to his daughter's happiness as everyone knows the dialogue 'ja simran ja, jile apni zindagi!'
