Movie Review:
Dia Swaroop, a biotech student and absolute introvert, gets engaged in a near-fatal accident in the narrative. Her uncle informs her that her sweetheart, Rohit (Deekshit Shetty), a M Tech graduate with whom she was completely over heels in love in college but could only confess her love three years later, is no longer alive.
Dear Dia is set to quadruple K.S. Ashoka's audience, which he gained with his debut picture. The director combines a unique type of happiness with heartbreaks by telling a skillfully-told love story that isn't formulaic. He is assured in his narration, and the love emotions, which are largely expressed via the three characters, are gripping. The film is conversation-based, thanks to Ashoka, who is also the writer. The narrative is quick, and each episode, which explores diverse persons' innermost sentiments, is lively and original.

Scenes like the wonderful elevator scene between Dia and Rohit and the way Rohit expresses his love for Dia via his sketches are one-of-a-kind. Adi and Dia's encounter is also intriguing. It occurs when the latter, who is despondent and lost in her own world, is unaware that her luggage has been stolen. Adi rushes to get the bag, only to discover that Dia is not interested in returning it.

Adi and Dia's love for one other is shown less via words and more through emotions. The closeness between Adi and his mother, whom he refers to as Lucky, demonstrates that a mother can also be your best friend. The latter is happiest when she gives her son the best. One of the most touching scenes in Dear Dia is Adi's letter to his mother, in which he expresses his love for her and calls her as 'Maa.'

The filmmaker captures both the exhilaration of falling in love and the depth and effect of loss in this film, making it a must-see. Dear Dia is a love story that will take you on an emotional roller coaster.
