The news of the assassination of the young singer-turned-politician had left the nation in shock and also raised the law and order issue in the state of Punjab. Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead. According to the reports, over 30 rounds of bullets were fired at his vehicle in the daylight. The heartwrenching incident took place in Mansa district of Punjab, and at the backdrop of a day after Sidhu’s security cover was removed by the AAP government. It's been a week now since this unfortunate incident took place yet Sidhu Moose Wala is trending in Google searches across the world.

As per the latest Google analytics, Sidhu Moose Wala was browsed in over 151 countries around the globe in the last week. With Pakistan being the top country with a 100 percent score in the search followed by India with 88 percent; Among these151 nations, 19 countries had a search percentage of 1 to 100 percent while in another 132 countries, the search percentage was below 1 percent.

Speaking of India, Sidhu Moose Wala is trending across all the states of the nation with Punjab having a 100 percent search percentage while Chandigarh has 88 percent, Himachal at 79 percent, and Haryana at 56 percent. On the other hand, his songs are also trending on YouTube. 

His song ‘LEVELS’ is at the top of the trending chart while ‘THE LAST RIDE’ is at number three. Other than these songs, the views of Sidhu Moose Wala’s earlier songs have tremendously increased. 

Sindhu was an outspoken and opinionated person. He openly made statements on the controversial Khalistan issue. In December 2020, he composed a new song ‘Panjab: My Motherland.’ Because of this, he was accused of glorifying Khalistani separatist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in the video.
