World-famous K-Pop group BTS has achieved several milestones in its journey as a popular band group so far. Now, another feather is going to get added to BTS's hat as the group is invited to the White House to meet President Joe Biden on Tuesday, May 31st. As per the reports, the agenda of the meeting is inclusion, representation, and managing anti-Asian hate crimes and disinformation.

The official announcement by the White House stated, "He (Joe Biden) has previously spoken about his commitment to combating the surge of anti-Asian hate crimes. will also discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion and BTS' platform as youth ambassadors who spread a message of hope and positivity across the world."

Previously, BTS had shared their experience about facing discrimination being Asians and they had also commented on anti-Asian hate crimes in the US, including shootings at three Atlanta-area spas. Their statement read, "We recall moments when we faced discrimination as Asians. We have endured expletives without reason and were mocked for the way we look. We were even asked why Asians spoke in English."

The news of BTS stars being invited to the White House came a day after US president Joe Biden returned from the quad meet conducted in Japan. It was also his first trip to Asia ever since he became the president of the US. Earlier, the Bangtan boys had also collaborated with United Nations in 2020 during the pandemic.

On the work front, BTS has given several hit songs globally like Butter, Life Goes On, Dynamite, etc., and are now preparing for the launch of their new album 'Proof.'
