Recently, Superstar Mahesh Babu made a controversial statement about the Bollywood film industry. He stated, “I did get a lot of offers in Hindi, but I don't think they can afford me. I don't want to waste my time working in an industry which can't afford me”.
After that several senior actors from the Bollywood film industry reacted to his statement. There was a mixed opinion on social media about the same. Later, Mahesh Babu's team released a clarification on his statement. Now, a video of Shah Rukh Khan is going viral across digital platforms.
In the video we can see a journalist at the Berlinale 2008 press conference, Berlin, Germany asking the question to SRK about working in Hollywood. King khan's humble reply won everyone's heart and now it is apt in the backdrop of Mahesh Babu's comment on Bollywood.
Shah Rukh in his response said, “My English is not good. If they give me a role of a dumb person who doesn’t speak maybe…I mean I’m not trying to be modest but I think, I’m 42 years old, I’m a little brown, I don’t have any special USPs as an actor, I don’t have any specialty as an actor, I don’t know kung-fu, I don’t dance the Latin salsa, I’m not tall enough."
"I think anyone my age in the western world, I’ve seen some of the recent films in Europe, I have also seen a lot of the films of what you call the dream factory. I think there is no space for me, there is no place for me because I don’t think I’m that talented. I would like to continue to work in India and hopefully take Indian cinema to the world. That’s the ambition I have,” he further added.
Thus, all the fans of king khan across the globe are applauding him for his kind response and compared how it was better than what Mahesh Babu said.
