Few years ago, an international series named Modern Love shook us all with its beautiful stories and presentation. Amazon Prime India noticed that and now bringing us the Desi version of Modern Love into 3 different web shows. Modern Love: Mumbai, Modern Love: Chennai & Modern Love: Hyderabad.
Releasing today on May 13, Modern Love: Mumbai, is depicting 6 different but beautiful stories to the world. One of its story, Baai features Gay Love story along with a different perspective added around a grandson and his grandmother.
Rushad Rana who’s playing a crucial character in Baai interacted with us on being part of this project. READ WHAT HE SAYS:
“These stories talks about very different relationships, if we talk about our story it’s about gay relationship, but asides that it also explores a relationship between Grandmother and her grandson. People who can’t relate with the gay relationships can surely relate and enjoy the other half of the story. And I don’t think OTT audience will have any reservations towards this kind of content,” Rushad said.
“I think I’ve passed a challenge cause from Television to OTT it has been a long journey for me. Like literally 4-5 years casting directors used to say your auditions are really good but our platforms don’t want any TV faces. And it was very disheartening, just because we work in television doesn’t make us anything else, don’t categories us like that. Today I’m very fortunate that I’m part of this franchise, a small part but a crucial one.”
