Netflix announced the season 2 of the popular dating show Indian Matchmaking ft Sima Taparia in August 2021.

Indian Matchmaking Season 2 is coming soon on the popular OTT platform Netflix and all we can think of is how Sima Taparia's matchmaking show exposed the mindset of Indian families. Indian matchmaker Sima Taparia became the meme queen soon after the launch of the first season of Indian Matchmaking on Netflix.

The controversial reality show showcased recipe of patriarchal values, colonial tastes, and mothers-in-law with high BP desperate to find a match for their sons. Sharing the promo on Twitter, Netflix announced, "Verified IT'S WEDDING SEASON AND SIMA AUNTY IS BACK 💍. Season 2 of Indian Matchmaking is coming soon! #GoldenFirstLook."

In the promo, Sima Taparia sheds light on the concept of arranged marriage. It also highlighted the matchmaker bragging about a bachelor with a ‘nice sense of humour’, however, her client Aparna Shewakramani responded to the guy, saying, “I hate comedy.”

The promo of the reality show also highlighted some of the most memorable scenes from the previous season, it also teases that the second season could be even more dramatic. The first season of Indian Matchmaking featured Lawyer-turned-entrepreneur Aparna Shewakramani, Mumbai-based jewelry designer Pradhyuman Maloo, event planner Nadia Jagessar, writer Vyasar Mamta Ganesan as some of Sima Taparia's clients in the show.

While some clients of Sima Taparia got married, others called out her matchmaking skills. Seeing the launch of Indian Matchmaking promo on Twitter and Instagram, many took to the social media platforms to express their feelings about the show.
