In a recent interview, Ranveer Singh said that he got upset when Tiger Shroff announced that he is doing Rambo.
Ranveer Singh is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming comedy-drama film, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which is slated to release in the cinema on May 13, 2022.
Now, in a recent conversation with Film Companion, the Bajirao Mastani actor revealed that he was very upset after Tiger Shroff bagged the Hindi remake of Rambo.
Tiger Shroff, who made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with Heropanti, has established himself as a prominent Bollywood action hero.
The actor is working on a number of exciting projects, including a Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood classic Rambo (1982). His fans are eagerly anticipating his portrayal of Sylvester Stallone in the film.
Talking to Film Companion, he said, "Before becoming an actor, I wanted to become a hero. I used to watch movies like that too - where the guys were shirtless.
I loved films like Rambo, Rocky, Commando - these are my heroes! This is what I wanted. So I was very upset when Tiger (Shroff) said he wanted to do Rambo. I was like 'ye to mujhe karna tha, that's my default'.
HOWEVER, In a new interview, Ranveer Singh confirmed that there are plans for making Simmba 2. The actor said that this film was always designed to be a franchise.
Released in 2018, the director delivered a box office hit with Simmba, which featured Ranveer Singh in the titular role alongside Sara Ali Khan.
Opening up about Simmba 2, Ranveer Singh told Film Companion, "I will be very dissapointed if there isn't a Simba 2. Simba deserves a reprise. He is one of my favourite guys. Actually, Simba was always designed to be a franchise.
So, whenever Rohit (Shetty) bhai calls, I will be there. But, there will be a Simba 2. It's one of my favourite movies and also my favourite performances so far. I will do it because I love it so much."
