The trailer of the dance film ‘Dehati Disco’, which stars veteran choreographer Ganesh Acharya, Ravi Kishan and ‘Super Dance 3’ finalist Saksham Sharma in pivotal roles, was released on Friday on the occasion of International Dance Day.

The film, helmed by Manoj Sharma, tells the story of Bhola played by Ganesh Acharya and Bheema played by Saksham Sharma as they establish the importance of dance in their village Shivpur where dance is believed to be a curse.

In an Exclusive Interview with PopDiaries, Ganesh Acharya expressed about the film and his role as father;

“It’s a dance film, ‘Dehati Disco’ and I like when people think I’m Dehati and offered me this film. But the real hero in the film is Saksham Sharma, he has done amazing job I’m playing role of his father in the film and that brought lot of things apart from acting, you’ll be watching me dancing & doing action scenes as well. But this film is a complete commercial package, a complete Masala film.”

The ace choreographer further elaborated on the message that the film wants to give to the audience:

“The tagline of the film says Dehati Disco- English Wale Khisco” we’re do not intend to insult any other dance forms but I’m really proud of my culture my Indian art forms. There are so many dance cultures in India that we don’t even know about. I feel we should enjoy the ‘disco’ but just in a ‘Dehati’ way!”
