Kangana Ranaut Excoriates Netflix, Takes A Dig At Filmmaker Karan Johar Without Naming Him!

Kangana Ranaut lashed out at Netflix in an attempt to compare it with its competitor OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. while praising amazon prime actress called it a "democratic and open-minded" platform while criticizing Netflix she highlighted the failure of the OTT giant to 'understand the Indian market.'

Kangana took to her Instagram story and referred to one of the recent comments by Netflix CEO Reed Hastings about Netflix's low subscriber rate in India she pointed out that the platform failed to understand the Indian audience while on the other hand saying how Amazon is doing well.

Her story reads, "Data suggests that Amazon Prime Video is doing way better than Netflix in India maybe because they are much more open-minded and democratic when international head visits India they don’t park themselves at a fading 90s director’s infamous party but meet everyone who is contributing to them… Last I heard Netflix's head was not able to understand the Indian market… Well, the Indian market is not just one bitchy gossipy nineties director…. There are hundreds of talented people here."

Thalaivi actress further went on to criticize ace filmmaker Karan Johar without naming him and took the context of the recent party hosted by Karan for Netflix Global Chief, Bela Bajaria. which was attended by many Bollywood celebrities. The guest list included Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Sara Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, etc.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut is all set to make her debut as a producer with the film Tiku Weds Sheru starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in the lead and is helmed by Sai Kabir and will be released on Amazon Prime.

However, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Dharmatic too have associations with Prime Video and will release several movies and web series.
