Royal Challengers Bangalore have registered five victories in the Tata IPL 2022 and placed themselves on the second place of the points table. With the likes of Faf Du Plessis in the batting while Josh Hazlewood in the bowling they beat Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs.
While batting first Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 180 runs in 6 wickets. Skipper leading from the front Faf Du Plessis scored 96 runs off 64 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes. While Virat Kohli got caught on his very first ball. Maxwell & Shahbaz Ahmed then added some runs in the making.

Chasing this total wasn’t a good deal for Lucknow as their was totally lack of intent throughout the innings. Though KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya tried their best but didn’t get that extra support from other batters. KL Rahul got beat unlucky and got caught behind on 30 runs while Pandya scored 42 runs off 28 balls with 5 fours & 2 sixes.
In the death overs, Marcus Stoinis, Holder & Badoni tried hard to get close to the margin but RCB bowlers choked them with taking crucial wickets at crucial times. Hazlewood took 4 wickets and spared only 25 runs off 4 overs.
