The much awaited Vijay starrer Beast started off on a solid note thanks to the adrenaline pumping trailer and the star power. However, due to mixed reaction from the audience, the Beast is dropping with each passing day at the box office.

Beast opened to Rs 49.3 crore on its first day in all languages (Tamil, Telegu, Kannada and Hindi). The film took the biggest opening day ever in Tamil Nadu state and the career-best start for Vijay. His last biggest opening film was Sarkar which minted Rs 32.84 crore which was beaten by Beast which touched Rs 42.45 crore in Tamil language. However, the collections on the day 2 went down to Rs 20.95 crore.

As per early trade estimates, Beast dropped further on Friday to Rs 16-17 crore with Tamil version collecting somewhere between Rs 15.80-16 crore, bringing the overall total to Rs 86-87 crore. It has been made on an overall budget of Rs 150 Crores.
