Written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films, KGF Chapter 1, starring Yash was the surprise hit in 2018 when it received solid reviews from the critics and audience alike. Thanks to the first look poster, thrilling trailer and brilliant promos, the advance booking of KGF 2 was god-like beating the advance booking of RRR, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer WAR and even SS Rajamouli directed Bahubali 2 with the advance collection taking a huge leap. The advance booking collection for Bahubali 2 was Rs 37.53 crore but KGF 2 has overtaken those numbers. The recent trade report shows that KGF 2 has minted Rs 38-39 crore in the advance booking though the numbers can go higher.

There are chances it might even cross WAR which still holds the record of highest opening day figure with Rs 51.60 crore in the Hindi version.
