So basically, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were meant to be together. When asked about her crush, Alia had reportedly said that ever since she was 11-years-old, she had a crush on Ranbir.

She had apparently auditioned for ‘Black’ and that’s when she fell for the suave actor, who was the assistant director to Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the film.
'Black’ released in 2005, more than a decade later, Alia and Ranbir seem to have finally fallen in love. The couple was cast in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ which went on floors in February 2018 and thus began Ranbir and Alia’s love saga.
It was in 2017 when Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor had started the shooting for the film, Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji. It is said that the Cupid had struck the duo in Bulgaria in the midst of snow-capped mountains.

In an interview with the Telegraph, Mahesh Bhatt had talked about Alia and Ranbir's growing love. He had shared that he loves Ranbir and he is a great guy.

In December 2021, during the motion poster launch event of 'Brahmastra', the adorable couple was seen at their candid best. They answered several fan questions while subtly engaging in some adorable PDA.
On being asked by a fan, "When will you marry Alia or someone else?" Ranbir wittily replied, "Haven't we seen a lot of people getting married in the last year? I think we should be happy with that." However, turning towards Alia, he cheekily added, "Humari kab hogi?" to which a visibly blushing Alia replied, "Why are you asking me?
Ranbir and Alia have refurbished their family home, the Krishna Raj bungalow. The bungalow which is now reportedly being converted to a fifteen-story building is located in Bandra’s Pali Hill.

The first five floors of this house will be saved for the Kapoors, Alia-Ranbir, and Neetu Kapoor. The remaining ten floors will be rented out. The couple is likely to move in here after their alleged wedding.
