Haldiram has been trending on Twitter because Arabic packaging on it got misunderstood as Urdu!

Haldiram trends on twitter after a video went viral from a well known publication. The reporters were found quizzing the Haldiram’s staff for using Urdu words on the packaging of a namkeen mixture packet.

The snack in question is called 'Falhari Mixture' and comes in new packaging. It is one of the brand's most popular fasting combinations.

The twitter got divided into a wide range of contention when the female reporter interrogated the manager, about how Haldiram is attempting to conceal facts by hiding the Urdu description of the namkeen packet.

In that viral video, the reporter from Sudarshan TV picks up the Falhari Mixture, a popular Haldiram namkeen that is consumed by people fasting during the ongoing nine-day Hindu festival of Navratri, and questions the store manager if Haldiram’s trying to conceal anything by writing the description of the namkeen packet in Urdu.

The store manager says that the description has been written in English, Hindi as well as Urdu and asks why she is focussed on the Urdu content.

When the reporter keeps ranting about “Urdu writing” and “betraying Hindus who fast during Navratri”, the store manager retorts saying that you can buy the namkeen if you want it or she can leave it and go if she doesn’t.
