The Kashmir Files beats Vicky Kaushal starrer URI-The Surgical Strike to become the 13th highest grossing Bollywood film of all time.
Vivek Agnihotri proved that content is the king as his latest riveting truth on Kashmir with The Kashmir Files had already won the hearts audience from the first day itself. Surprisingly, the blunt film opened decently in the morning shows but thanks to the mind blowing (as per Book My Show), collected a solid Rs 97.30 crore in first week followed a better performing second week with Rs 108.97 crore despite the release of Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchhan Paandey. Due to a big release of SS Rajamouli directed RRR, the political drama dropped in its third week with 30.95 crore.
Due to the release of Attack and Hollywood film Morbius, the political drama suffered on 4th Friday with Rs 1.50 crore but bumped up its collection on Saturday to Rs 2.25 crore followed by further growth on Sunday with Rs 3 crore. As per early trade report, the political drama dropped big time on 4th Monday with around Rs 70-80 lakhs, summing up the total to Rs 245.73-245.83 crore and now has crossed the lifetime collection of Vicky Kaushal starrer URI-The Surgical Strike which minted Rs 245.36 crore to become the 13th highest Bollywood film of all time at the domestic box office. . The Kashmir Files has been made on an overall budget of Rs 14 crore and will be crossing the 200 mark today itself.

It tells the true story Kashmiri Pandits who were forced to leave their own land in Kashmir in 1990. The Kashmir Files stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Puneet Issar, Darshan Kumar, Prakash Belawadi, Mrinal Kulkarni, and Chinmay Mandlekar in key roles.
