In the very first game of the IPL 2022 season defending champions Chennai Super Kings got beaten by newly renovated & captained by Shreyas Iyer’s Kolkata Knight Riders. Despite having a vintage Dhoni performance in the batting part & power packed performance by Dwayne Bravo Chennai has to face the defeat against KKR.

After winning the toss Shreyas Iyer invited CSK for batting on the Wankhede pitch, proved his bowling call right eventually when one of the highest paid retention Ruturaj Gaikwad got out on duck. CSKs batting order couldn’t handle more pressure and fallback as the inning built up.

In the second innings KKR easily chased down the total of 131 runs with the likes of newly added opener & senior batsmen Ajinkya Rahane; collaborative efforts by middle order & last boundary by skipper Iyer.

CSK was never in the game today few wickets they got in the second innings didn’t make any shifts in the situation. While Kolkata easily pulled the momentum & controlled the game with high potentials and perfect team performance.

Umesh Yadav received player of the match award for his extra ordinary performance in the bowling. In four overs he deducted only 20 runs with two important wickets.
