"Heartbreak at 25 years old just hits different" Prateik Babbar on his breakup with Amy Jackson, said he went into a dark phase

Years after his breakup with his "Ek Deewana Tha" co-star Amy Jackson, Prateik Babbar finally opens up about what went down in their relationship and the phase he went through after breaking up with Amy Jackson.

The duo dated each other the same year their movie came out and then broke up a few days after the release. In a recent interview, Prateik got candid about how much his breakup with Amy Jackson affected him so much that led him into a dark phase. He had even opened up about how he went into depression.

Talking about his journey and how much the movie "Ek Deewana Tha" has shaped him as an actor, Prateik said on an episode of Mashable's The Bombay Journey that it helped him showcase his acting skills in a much better sense. But with the good things came a phase that could never fade for him. He mentions, "It was a good film. But then I fell in love with that woman (Amy) and it just went haywire. And that just…how do I put this in simplest way… I think a bad phase began when I experienced heartbreak there. Heartbreak at 25 years old just hits different. Phir main gayab hogaya (Then I completely disappeared)”.

Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson became an It couple ever since the audience witnessed their chemistry in their movie "Ek Deewana Tha". They were always seen complimenting each other during their interviews or spotted together on various occasions as a couple. Prateik had even got a tattoo with Amy's name on his hand ever since they made their relationship official but later changed it after the breakup.

Currently Prateik and Amy are married to different people. Prateik is married to Sanya Sagar whereas Amy is engaged to George Panayiotou and they also share a son together.
