Marvel Studios to showcase its 1st Muslim Superhero Ms Marvel!

The trailer of Ms Marvel has come out already on March 15. Actress Iman Vellani stars as the main lead in the series.

Disney+ Hotstar had officially launched the trailer and the poster of Ms Marvel but the series will be premiered on June 8 exclusively on the platform. Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani plays a typical teenager in the series where she will be seen trying to balance her high-school life, her family and her superhero life that comes to light later.

Here's the trailer for those who missed it. The official Twitter handle of Disney+ Hotstar uploaded it with an enticing caption that goes, "The future is in her hands. Ms. Marvel, an Original series from Marvel Studios, starts streaming June 8 on #DisneyPlus.

Speaking about her stint in the series, Iman Vellani had once mentioned in an interview that she never felt that it was necessary to discuss the significance of her ethnicity that's included in the MCU. She said, ”The fact that the show is being made and they’re including this character in the MCU is . I don’t really have to go out of my way and talk about being a Muslim and being Pakistani — it all comes out in the show. People seeing a person like me involved in a project as big as this is, I think, inspiring enough.”

It is also said that Farhan Akhar and Fawad Khan are also a part of the movie, even though they weren't spotted in the trailer. Needless to say, it is great that Marvel is slowly showing the representation of South Asian peers in their movies as superheroes.
