Kim Sung Joo has tested positive for COVID-19 and his agency Janggoon Entertainment released the statement.
Earlier today Kim Sung Joo is diagnosed with COVID-19 AND HIS his agency Janggoon Entertainment released the following statement:
Hello, this is Janggoon Entertainment.
Entertainer Kim Sung Joo underwent PCR testing on February 14 and received positive results on February 15.
Kim Sung Joo is currently in self-quarantine due to minor symptoms, and he will faithfully comply with the guidelines and requests of the disease control authorities and receive treatment until he has completely recovered.
We will put the health and safety of our artists first and do our best to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We apologize for causing concern to many people.
Kim Sung Joo is currently starring in 8 programs, including MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer,” JTBC’s “Let’s Play Soccer Together 2” (also called “We Kick Together 2”), IHQ’s “My Name is Caddy” (literal title), KBS’s “Gag Fighter,” KBS’s “Time Out” (literal title), and TV Chosun’s “Tomorrow’s National Singer.” “The King of Mask Singer” has no recording this week.
According to MBC, the show finished recording on 8th February, so there is no need for anyone from it to undergo PCR testing.
A source from the show stated, “The recording is done every two weeks, so there will be no problems with the broadcast.”
