Hello, this is Turbo JK Company.

We are informing you that our artist Kim Jong Kook has tested positive for COVID-19 today (February 10).

Kim Jong Kook felt mild cold symptoms on February 9, so he preemptively tested himself with a self-testing kit, and the results were positive. He then underwent PCR testing and was officially diagnosed with COVID-19 today.

Kim Jong Kook has completed two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and he is currently not experiencing any major health problems. He has halted all his scheduled activities and is taking necessary measures according to the directions of the disease control authorities.

We will do our best for the treatment and rapid recovery of Kim Jong Kook, and we will continue to follow the guidelines of the disease control authorities and put the health and safety of our artists and staff members first.

Kim Jong Kook was currently working with SBS variety of programs like  “Running Man” and “My Little Old Boy,” but after he tested positive for COVID-19 SBS commented, " Since there were no other recording schedules for the two programs before and after Kim Jong Kook tested positive , it is expected that there will be no major disruptions in future broadcasting. The quarantine period has been shortened to seven days, and there is no recording scheduled within that time, so the broadcast will not be affected."
