Nevertheless, Padman opened to rave reviews across the country and was made under the budget of Rs 60 crores (Cost of Production: 55 Crores( inclusive of Akshay Kumar’s salary) and Prints & Advertising Cost: 15 Crore), collecting Rs 81.74 crore at the domestic box office. Pad Man is directed by R.Balki and also stars Radika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Based on Black Friday – The True Story of the Bombay Bomb Blasts, a book by Hussain Zaid, Black Friday accounts to the series of bomb blast that rocked Mumbai city in the year 1993. The film successfully also tells the feelings which the main accused goes through aftermath the attack. Surprisingly, the movie was banned initially by Censor Board and later got released in 2007. Black Friday was showered with praises for its electrifying performances and noteworthy direction by Anurag Kashyap. The brilliant director also received accolades for his hard work at International Film Festival.

Black Friday collected a decent Rs 4.75 crore against a budget of Rs 4.50 crore at the box office.
