Lata Mangeshkar was the best female singer of all times, her voice had a soothing effect on everyone . She had begun singing from the age of around 14 . She will forever be in our hearts and her musical legacy will continue till the end of time .

Lata Mangeshkar was born on 28 September 1929 – 6 February 2022) was an Indian singer and music composer. She was widely considered one of the greatest and most influential singers in India. Her contribution to Indian music industry in a career spanning seven decades gained her honorific titles such as the Nightingale of India and Queen of Melody.

India's Nightingale, Lata Mangeshkar, has left for her heavenly abode. The end of a musical era came this morning after the legendary singer and Bharat Ratna succumbed to multi-organ failure and chest congestion.

She was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital for a COVID-19 infection followed by pneumonia. Lata had recorded songs in over thirty-six Indian languages and few foreign languages, though primarily in Hindi and Marathi.

She received several accolades and honors throughout her career. In 1987 The Dadasaheb Phalke Award was bestowed on her by the Government of India. In 2001, in recognition of her contributions to the nation, she was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour and is only the second female singer, after M. S. Subbulakshmi, to receive this honour.

France conferred on her its highest civilian award, the Officer of the Legion of Honour, in 2007.Initially, Lata is said to have imitated the acclaimed singer Noor Jehan, but she later developed her own style of singing. She brought a new signature style of singing to Indian film music, moving away from mehfil-style performances to suit both 'modern' and 'traditional' female protagonists.

Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai", "Gata Rahe Mera Dil" song, "Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo" ,(Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh",Allah Tero Naam" and "Prabhu Tero Naam, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya" and the amazing and melodious O Palanhaare song from movie Lagaan are one of the best songs of her Carrear .

Lata Mangeshkar will forever be the Queen 👑 of Music Industry and her work will always be an inspiration for the coming generations of singers . She will always be loved and missed . RIP India's Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar .
