A mental health counselor named Devon Birkett has revealed how she went from a pale ghost to Shrek when her skin turned green after using a dark fake tan.

The woman applied a couple of layers, and although she initially noticed a green tinge, she ploughed on regardless.

Devon claims the colour continued to get ‘worse and worse’ as it dried, and she soon found herself with green skin.

After being laughed at by her friends, she hopped in the shower and rinsed it off, thankfully leaving her with a fairly ‘normal colour’, although she admits there was ‘still a hint of green in it’.
