Turkmenistan President has ordered Experts To find a way to finally extinguish a massive fifty years old fire which kept burning continuously without any break .

From the past fifty years a giant natural gas crater in the central asian country , called Gateway To Hell . Citing environmental and economic concerns , President ce forward and ordered to put out the flames at darwaza gas center in the middle of the vast karakum desert .

The president of Turkmenistan said that the crater is harmful for the surrounding and the environment. Such craters increase the temperature, make water nearby evaporate and leads to less water availability. Is harmful for plants and animals . No animals can survive in a long area near the crater .

In the times of global warming, where the amount of heat is increasing year by year , this fire which is continuously burning from soo many years keeps the surrounding climate very high , releases a large amount of carbon dioxide and is very harmful.

Canadian explorer George Kourounis examined the crater's depths in 2013 and discovered that no-one actually knows how it started.According to local Turkmen geologists, the huge crater formed in the 1960s but was only lit in the 1980s.

There have been numerous attempts to end the fire, including in 2010 when Mr Berdymukhamedov also ordered experts to find a way to put out the flames.In 2018, the president officially renamed it the Shining of Karakum.
