Mumbai Goa trip for around 2000 people was called off after one crew member contracted to the virus. Yesterday night when 2000 people boarded on Goa cruise ship, few crew members were observed to be positive for Covid 19 and hence health minister didn't allow any of the passengers to enter Goa.

All 2000 people have to undergo RT PCR test and if they come out negative then only they are allowed to leave the ship.

The infected crew members are isolated in the ship itself. A medical team in PPE kits went on board to perform the necessary tests.

"After testing passengers for COVID 19, some tested positive. We have not allowed them to dock the ship. They have a tie-up with a private hospital for Covid testing, and we have told them to test all passengers for Covid 19 before they leave the ship", said health minister Vishwajit Rane.

The cruise is currently in the Mormugao Port Trust.
