It was Christmas yesterday, and everyone wanted to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus.
Dressing up as Santa Claus to entertain others has been a long-standing tradition around the world. Keeping up his promise to deliver happiness to other people's lives during Christmas time, Jitender Kumas has been dressing up as Santa Claus for the last twelve years in Delhi's Connaught Place.
According to the report, Mr Kumar runs a cosmetic shop in Bhajanpura. He shuts down his shop and then gets dressed up as Mr Claus to greet people at CP.
Google and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) have created Santa trackers of their own to show how Santa's journey works out. The journey would begin at North Pole village today, after which Santa is expected to travel 510,000,000 kilometres in just a single night to deliver presents around the world.
To track Santa's live movements, you have to go to NORAD website or Google's Santa Tracker.
NORAD began this tracking back in 1995 after a newspaper misprinted the contact number of Santa for children. When a child called the number, they were connected to US Air Force Colonel Harry Shoup at the Continental Air Defense Command Operations Center (NORAD's predecessor).
Later, an officer was assigned to take the children's calls. Ever since then, NORAD has been tracking Santa's journey every year.
