Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui passed the crucial test as it held well on its first Monday at the box office.
Ayushmann Khurrana is back with yet another unconventional film, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui which has been able to achieved good reviews which in turn is keeping the movie afloat in these challenging times. From the director of Kai Po Che and Rock One, Abhishek Kapoor brought the fresh pair of Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor in a love story, dance, drama and a twist.
Thanks to the interesting trailer, solid lead actor, talented director and entertainment factor, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui opened on a decent note to Rs 3.75 crore. There was a slight growth on Saturday with Rs 4.87 crore while Sunday was good with Rs 5.91 crore. As per early estimates, the romantic drama held well on its first Monday and collected somewhere between Rs 2-2.10 crore, bringing the 4 days total to Rs 16.50-16.70 crore and should work on the weekdays to put up a good 1st week collection as the word-of-mouth reviews is pretty good.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is made on a budget of Rs 40 Crores ( Production cost: 30 Crores, Advertising Cost : 10 Crores) and has released in 3000 screens worldwide ( India: 2500 screens, Overseas: 500 screens). The comedy drama is produced by T-Series and Guy in the Sky Pictures.
