“A lot of women need to see those kinds of ideals and heroic women that they can follow”, says Sarwat Gilani!

We do not have enough of these badass, unapologetic women stories and there are so many around us. So, it's time we make more of these and turn the table! The first director that comes to my mind is Quentin Tarantino, he’s made some real badass women movies and there are so many amazing movies out there. Pulp Fiction is one, Kill Bill. Uma Thurman is as fatal as you can get and I think some parts of Game of Thrones also had a lot of strong female characters.

Tabu has played some fatal characters. Four More Shots Please! was also another very female-centric narrative. I think it started with Kajol in Gupt: The Hidden Truth, Urmila and Priyanka also did one in Aitraaz, Vidya Balan in Ishqiya. Tabu in Haider was this beautiful woman who played this strong character so so well. Death Proof is Quentin Tarantino's hottest movie and is one of my favourite movies. I have grown up seeing Bollywood, Hollywood, even Black and White Bollywood cinema. I remember some touch of evil was really hot in those days.

I think these kinds of stories must be told as these are also a part of our society, It is a perspective of women and a lot of women need to see those kinds of ideals and heroic women that they can follow.
