I'm feeling really great finally the film has been released. I was waiting for this day and after so many months I am this happy. I'm amazed at the reviews we are getting from the audience. Twitter is flooded with reviews and good reviews for our film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.

What kinda reactions you are getting?

People are calling and messaging me after seeing my character. They are loving it very much.

Do you think only Ayushmann and Vaani are getting all the attention?

They are the leads of the film so it is quite obvious that they will get all the attention and they truly deserve this attention because we have given our all to this film. They are the faces of the film and they have done a mind-blowing job. So, I'm okay and happy with them getting all the attention.

KRK has recently said that CKA is like Punjabi soft porn and then also said that he will still watch the film, what do you have to say on that?

Advertisment

Who is he? And this is so wrong on his part to say that Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is like a soft porn film. There is no such intimate scene that would justify his statement. We all know what kind of films fall in such a category but in this film, and there is no such scene like that. The storyline of the film is different, we are showing a particular community so it is needed to show how they are. There are some intimate scenes but that is the need unless that the audience will not get how their bond is or how they make love. So for me, it is like making love and showing a clearer picture to society.

Do you think this film will make any impact on society?

Surely this film is to make an impact on society. We are getting liberal but still, we don't talk much about LGBTQ because people see it as taboo but I hope this film will change their mindset and it will not happen over a night. It is a long process.
