Box Office Report - Antim Drops Heavily But Sooryavanshi Holds Well

Sooryavanshi, starring the superstar Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif finally hit the theaters and the big budgeted Rohit Shetty’s cop universe cheered up audience during the Diwali festival this year as the cop drama went on to collect Rs 120.66 crore in first week. In its second week, the cop action drama held well on to its position and collected an excellent Rs 45.57 crore while third week was decent with Rs 18.68 crore. Due to the release of Antim and Satyameva Jayate 2, Sooryavanshi managed to mint money on the lower side with Rs 6.43 crore in its fourth week.

Tadap Review – Action Drama That Hits The Right Punch With Solid Performances

There was another theater release - Tadap, which has taken a good start at the box office and with Sooryvanshi releasing on Netflix yesterday, the cop drama dropped on its 5th Friday with Rs 30 lakhs but grew up on Saturday and Sunday with Rs 66 lakhs and Rs 99 lakhs. Sooryavanshi dropped on 5th Monday to Rs 25 lakhs. As per early estimates, cop drama held well with Rs 20-25 lakhs,  bringing the overall 33 days net to around 194 crore.

Chhorii Review – Absolutely Stunning With Solid Performances

Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma starrer Antim brought some cheers to the theaters as film showed a healthy collection in its first week with Rs 29.35 crore. Despite the new releases, Antim held well tight at the ticket window on its second Friday with Rs 1.25 crore. There was a jump on Saturday with Rs 1.76 crore followed by a good growth on Sunday with Rs 2.25 crore. The action drama dropped on Monday with Rs 85 lakhs.

As per early trade estimates, Antim dropped further on Tuesday to somewhere between Rs 70-75 lakhs on second Tuesday. bringing the 12 days total to around Rs 36-36.30 crore. The budget of Antim is Rs 45 crore and is produced by Salman Khan under his banner of Salman Khan Films in association with Zee Studios.
