Many who see the Bachchans only see the ups of their illustrious life, but the Bachchan family, too, has had a low phase that’s not talked about often. Years ago, Amitabh Bachchan had landed in deep financial trouble. While the megastar has been vocal about the said phase, his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan has now revealed that he had left his university mid-way to be with his family during the financially low phase.
Opening up about the phase on The Ranveer Show podcast, Abhishek said that he felt it was right to be with his father during that stage for moral support. Adding that Big B is a “big guy” on moral support, Abhishek added that the megastar likes to know his family is around.Recalling his thoughts from years ago, Abhishek said, “I said I can’t be here sitting in Boston when my father doesn’t know how he’s going to get dinner. And that’s how bad it was.
And he said it publicly. He had to borrow money from his staff to put food on the table.” The actor added that he “felt morally obliged to be with him.” Abhishek then called Big B and told him that he had decided to leave college mid-way to be home with his family. Big B, too, has opened up about the financially difficult phase on several occasions.
Currently, both Abhishek and Big B are receiving love for their respective work projects. Abhishek recently starred in and as Bob Biswas in the film of the same name.
