Panipat was a crucial film for three people – Ashutosh Gowarikar who has to prove himself after the disastrous Mohenjodaro at the box office (though he is a brilliant director giving us beautiful films like Lagaan, Swades and Jodha Akbar), Arjun Kapoor needed to deliver hit after giving flops like Namaste England and India’s Most Wanted and Sanjay Dutt who has not been able to make a successful comeback after forgettable Bhoomi, Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and Prassthanam.
